The Mass (through art)

The twenty oil paintings which follow have been exhibited in Westminster Cathedral during Holy Week, 1993, and in the Bar Convent, York, Autumn 1993. Most of them were painted during 1988 and 1989, and were the first of the ‘prayer’ paintings to be painted as large oils. They are published as high quality prints in the book THE MAJESTY OF THE MASS
from which we have also reproduced the mass structure.

The artist is Elizabeth Wang who was born in 1942 and received into the Catholic Church in 1968.
