The Irish Catholic Bishops’ Conference has asked that a collection be taken up at all Churches across Ireland on the weekend of 22nd  and 23rdJuly to fund life-saving aid for people currently affected by the devastating hunger crisis in east Africa. The money raised will be donated to Trócaire which is delivering emergency food, water and health care to tens of thousands of the 25 million people affected.  We invite people to contribute as generously as possible by putting their contribution in a envelope, clearly marked “Trocaire Famine Appeal” and returning it to a church or parish office before the end of July.
