The Pantry Project

Pantry Project

The Pantry Project is a project of The Churches Trust.   It was established as a crisis response to meet the needs of people (individuals and families) who for one reason or another find themselves in a situation of extreme hardship.  The Churches Trust accept donations and work with community hubs to distribute food parcels to those in need.  People from all walks of life have accessed our project.  Last year to date we provided food to over 2000 people (children and adults).

People can be referred to the project by contacting their local community groups, or Greater Shantallow Area Partnership (Ethos project), or Waterside Area Partnership.  Referrals have also been made via churches or indeed directly to The Churches Trust.

Can you help us in addressing the need for food in our City by donating non - perishable food items to the Pantry Project?  If so bring them along to Church SATURDAY 8th / SUNDAY 9th July and we will gladly collect these gifts.  There is a flyer available at the back of the church which contains further information about the types of food that are needed.

Your continued support of this project is much appreciated by The Churches Trust.
